We are delighted to announce an exciting new addition to our Columbia Smiles team. Please join us in welcoming Dr. Yujin Hicks as our new Associate Dentist.
Dr. Hicks completed her dental training at the University of Maryland School of Dentistry. Prior to dental school, she attained a Bachelor of Science in Biology with a minor in Cell Biology from the University of Georgia. Prior to dental school, Dr. Hicks’ professional journey included roles as a Dental Assistant at Georgia Oral and Facial Surgery and Windward Pediatric Dentistry. In recent years, she completed a Periodontal Clerkship at the University of Maryland School of Dentistry, performing periodontal surgeries.
Dr. Hicks is passionate about providing exceptional care to her patients and, as such, she is dedicated to staying current with the latest advancements in dental technology and clinical techniques. This commitment to continuing education evidences her dedication to excellence and continuous improvement, as well as her commitment to offering the highest standard of care to her patients.
In addition to her professional qualifications, Dr. Hicks is known for her compassionate and gentle manner. She takes the time to listen to her patients’ concerns and works collaboratively to develop personalized treatment plans tailored to address each patient’s unique needs. Her goal is to make every patient feel at ease and confident in the dental care they are receiving.
Beyond her professional work, Dr. Hicks is dedicated to community service, and has participated in missions trips to Vietnam, and impact trips to Bluefield, WV, and South Florida, where she served communities in need. She is also fluent in English and Korean, which further enhances Columbia Smiles’ ability to connect with our diverse patient population.
We are confident that Dr. Hicks will be a tremendous addition to our team and a wonderful resource to you – our patients. Her passion and dedication to excellence aligns perfectly with our mission and focus at Columbia Smiles, and we are thrilled to have her join us!
